چکیده
ENSC 461 (S 11) Gas Vapor Mixtures and HVAC 1 Gas Vapor Mixtures and HVAC Atmospheric air normally contains some water vapor (moisture). The dry-air contains no water. Although the amount of water vapor in the air is small, it plays a major role in human comfort and thus in air-conditioning applications. The temperature of air in air-conditioning applications ranges from about -10 to 50°C. In that range both dry air and atmospheric air (including water-vapor) can be treated as ideal gas, with negligible error. Thus the ideal-gas relation PV = RT can be applied. The partial pressures of atmospheric air are: P = Pa + Pv (kPa) Also, one can write:

Numerical evaluation of the defrosting/defogging performance of HVAC system in the main product of the national vehicle platform
Due to the increasing development in various branches of the automotive industry, the need for a comfort climate in the cabin is more sensible. However, to achieve climate comfort, HVAC system consumes a considerable amount of engine power. Hence, improving HVAC system performance leads to more energy saving of the vehicle which is a critical factor for nowadays automotive. Besides, one crucial...
متن کاملApplication of Solar Thermal Collectors to Improve the Energy Performance of the Fresh Air HVAC Systems
In the preset study, the performance of a solar assisted heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in an operating theater building was studied. The yearly performances of the existing HVAC system and the system with the added solar collectors were simulated in terms of energy consumption and provided air conditions using a transient system simulation software (TRNSYS). In t...

In the present research, performance validation of a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system operating in a library building was conducted. The operating HVAC system was studied in terms of the provided indoor air conditions and energy consumption level. The fieldwork measurements showed that the HVAC system is not capable of providing the desired indoor air conditions based on...
متن کاملOn the effect of using phase change materials in energy consumption and CO2 emission in buildings in Iran: a climatic and parametric study
Energy crisis, global warming and other environmental issues are what motivate researchers to find new strategies to reduce energy consumption in buildings. Recently, using phase change materials (PCM) in the building’s envelopes has drawn significant attention as an energy-saving method, which helps in increasing the building’s thermal capacity. In the present research, the effects of the main...

Introduction: One of the factors influencing on indoor air quality of the buildings is performance of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. These systems supply clean and odorless air, with temperature, humidity, and air velocity within comfort ranges for the residents. The aim of this study was to evaluate performance HVAC system in an administrative building in Tehran. .M...
